The Crandall Family Association was formed in 1994 from the older organization (described in our history) and incorporated in 1995. All descendants (and friends) of Elder John1 Crandall (1617-1676) of Westerly, RI are welcome, and may apply for membership by writing:

The Crandall Family Association shall include all descendants of Elder John1 Crandall of Rhode Island. The Association will include (but not be limited to) the following spelling variants of the surname: Crandal, Crandel, Crandall, Crandell, Crandle, Crandol, crendall, crendell, crundall, crundell, Grandall, Grandell, Grandol, and Krandall.
The purpose of the Association shall be to encourage interest in family history, genealogy, traditions and customs relating to the descendants of Elder John Crandall of Rhode Island. The Association will promote scholarship and preservation of records, mementoes, and significant structures and properties relating to the Crandall family.
