This photograph was found recently among some things of my step-grandmother, Addie R. (Bliven) (Wehrle) Crandall (1895-1983). It was without a doubt a photograph that had belonged to my grandfather, Elisha Perry Crandall (1878-1954), of Charlestown, RI, and had somehow gotten misplaced.

On the back of the photograph, written in Grandma Addie's hand, is the following: Elder John Place, later Charles Henry Crandall Place, 1905.
